Megan Denise Fox (born May 16, 1986) is an American actress and model.

After having a successful career as a model, Fox launched her acting career in 2001, in which she played a supporting role as Brianna Wallace in Holiday in the Sun, starring opposite Mary Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen. Fox then guest starred in various television series, including What I Like About You, Two and a Half Men, The Help, Ocean Ave. and having a recurring role on Hope and Faith.

In 2004, Fox went on to have a film career starring opposite Lindsay Lohan in Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen. Her other films include Crimes Of Fashion (TV) (2004), How to Lose Friends & Alienate People (2008) and Whore (2008). Fox’s breakout role was playing Mikaela Banes, Shia LaBeouf’s character’s love interest in the 2007 blockbuster film Transformers, a role for which Fox was nominated for and won various Teen Choice Awards. She appeared in the sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Her upcoming films include Jennifer’s Body, Jonah Hex, and The Crossing.

Fox has often been compared to actress, Angelina Jolie by the media dubbing her as an “Angelina clone”, “Angelina 2.0″ and “Angelina Jr.” among others. Fox has been compared to Jolie because of their “tattoo collection”, and “built in sex-symbol”.

Fox said of the comparisons that “I think it’s a lack of creativity on the media’s part. Because I have tattoos and dark hair and I was in an action movie? That’s as far as the similarities extend. I’m not the next anyone.”, and that “She always seems otherworldly in her power and her confidence,” Fox says. “I’m sure she has no idea who I am. But if I were her, I’d be like, ‘Who the fuck is this little bullshit brat who was in Transformers that’s going to be the next me?’ I don’t want to meet her. I’d be embarrassed.” Fox was also said to have been replacing Jolie in the next Lara Croft film, but Fox turned down the role saying that “There have been a lot of films I’ve had to pass on because I don’t want people thinking I’m trying to emulate her.” Fox also said of meeting Jolie that she be “afraid” and continuing with that “I’m actually frightened of her,” also saying that “I haven’t had the opportunity to meet her and I try to avoid that because I’m afraid of her”, and that “She’s (Jolie) a powerful human being, she could eat me alive”.
