Digital Media Competition

Ready, Set, and Action!
The Digital Media competition is the perfect chance for your team to use photos, videos, and music to show off a big idea. Something that plays a role in solving major global issues around the world.

Round 1 of the Digital Media competition is comprised of 5 sub-rounds in 5 consecutive months: October 2010 through February 2011. Your team's submission is due on the first day of the month in that sub-round. At the conclusion of each sub-round, the 20 videos with the highest overall ratings that met the entry requirements advance to Round 2. You can participate in one or more sub-rounds until your video makes it in to Round 2.

The first sub-round videos must be submitted no later than October 1, 2010 at 11:59 P.M. GMT. Public voting for that sub-round begins on October 7, 2010 and ends on October 31, 2010.

Show us what you've got!
It's easy - aside from being creative, imaginative, and absolutely world-changing, your team's entry must be:

• A video which tells a story that addresses the Imagine Cup 2010 Theme.
• A video that include the Imagine Cup intro and outro clips, which can be found in the Digital Media resources.
• A video with a minimum length of at least thirty (30) seconds but not exceeding one (1) minute. Videos that do not meet the minimum or maximum time requirements will be disqualified.
• A video file named using the following format: "Team [insert team name] from [insert Country/Region]."
• A video in .wmv format.

Now that you have your video ready to go--here's how to submit it:

1. Register for the Imagine Cup 2011 and choose to compete in the Digital Media competition.
2. Form a team (maximum size is 2 people). You can select a mentor to guide you along the way too.
3. Sign in to the Imagine Cup website.
4. Return to the Digital Media page.
5. Click the "Edit Team" link.
6. On the Edit Team page click the "Manage Submissions" tab and read the instructions for submitting your video.
