Short-movie festival on the shortest day of the year!

On the 21st of December the International Festival “Le jour le plus Court” was simultaneously held in 5 cities of Ukraine.

The organizer of the festival was “CinemaHall” International Organization.

More than 500 movie-goers from Kiev, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk, Lvov and Zaporozhe had a chance to enjoy marvelous French short-movies.

Among the shown movies there were such films as “5 m 80 cm”, “Kisses”, “Post-card”, “Octopuses”, “Little dragon”, “Head in the stars”, “Julia”, “3×3”, “Tram”, “Shadow of the boy”, “Flock of flamingos”.
The movie “5 m 80 cm” shows us grace and poetics of beautiful exotic animals on the jump ramp. “Little dragon” narrates about the soul of Bruce Lee, that was transformed into a toy. ”Tram” shocks by sexual fantasies of the tram driver.

According to hosts of the festival, Polish, German, French, Israelite movies and movies of some other countries are planned to be screened in the nearest future.
The festival was held with the general support of the French Institute in Ukraine, Alliance française de Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk, Lvov and Zaporozhe, art-centre “Ya Gallery”, Dovzhenko cinema, improvisation restaurant “Grushevsky cinema jazz”, café-club “Yula 85” and portalAfisha.zp.ua.

“Le jour le plus Court” – is an annual French short-movie festival, that takes place on the shortest day of the year – the 21st of December. In 2012 there were more than 6000 screenings in more than 30 countries of the world. By virtue of the International Organization “CinemaHall” Ukraine also got a chance to join the festival in 2013!
